Robbie Savage was slaughtered on twitter after premature celebrations over Jeramain Defoe’s debut goal for the tribute act.
The £130,000/week striker took just 11 minutes to find the net at Kilmarnock but it wasn’t enough to prevent the home side from winning 2-1.
Savage has never hidden his love for anything on the blue side of Glasgow and couldn’t resist a pop at his BT Sport colleague but as the night unfolded there were no updates on his twitter account.

Celtic’s 4-0 win over St Mirren kept them a point ahead of Kilmarnock with the tribute act a further two points behind on the same points mark as Aberdeen.
On Saturday Celtic are expected to pick up full points at home to Hamilton Accies while Aberdeen face Kilmarnock at Pittodrie, on Sunday the club from Ibrox visit Livingston.
While Savage went into hiding Steven Gerrard blamed hapless Joe Worrell for his side’s defeat. The on loan defender was dispossessed midway inside his own half allowing Eamonn Brophy to level the scores before Ibrox-bound Jordan Jones scored the winner midway through the second half.
