Celtic fans gave Vakoun Issouf Bayo a mixed reception as the striker arrived in Edinburgh tonight.

The signing of the Ivorian was announced two weeks ago while the hoops were training in Dubai but while loan signings Oliver Burke and Timo Weah made their debuts at the weekend Bayo was posted missing.

At Monday’s media conference Brendan Rodgers revealed that the paperwork hadn’t been completed for Bayo who signed from Slovakian side Dunajska Streda.

With Odsonne Edouard resuming full training and Weah showing up as a striker the hoops will soon have a number of attacking options.

Burke and Mikey Johnston have started the last two competitive matches at centre-forward but Edouard is likely to be back in contention for a starting place for Saturday’s match against Hamilton Accies.

Bayo hasn’t played a competitive match since the start of December with Rodgers hoping that he can quickly get upto the fitness levels required for the SPFL.
