Steven Gerrard couldn’t have been more emphatic, he mentioned it three times. There has been no bids for Alfredo Morelos.
Throughout December the Sevco boss was forever banging on about how the striker wasn’t for sale despite the grim finances of the company.
When asked if a huge offer would be hard to resist Gerrard asked how much a huge offer would be. When the reply was ten figures the interview got bogged down.

Out of the blue on Tuesday morning the Daily Record announced that Nice were preparing an £8m offer for Morelos to replace Mario Balotelli who was on his way to Marseilles.
Right on cue Gerrard faced the media on Tuesday to preview the match at Kilmarnock. It would be disrespectful to offer £8m for his star striker with references made to the £20m that Celtic picked up in August for Moussa Dembele.
In France there hasn’t been the slightest mention of Nice being interested in Morelos, even in the month in which every transfer rumour is pounced upon there has been no follow up.
Morelos scored in today’s 3-0 win at Livingston before being replaced by Jermain Defoe who put in a performance that resembled Freddie Ljungberg during his Celtic days.
