Around 10,000 Celtic fans are on route to Valencia with the majority resigned to not seeing Thursday’s action inside the Mestalla.
Celtic have only been allocated 3,000 tickets but that hasn’t deterred fans who have been planning their visit since the draw was made in mid December.
Flights to all parts of Spain will have fans on board with Alicante the most popular destination giving fans access to many holiday resorts out of season.
There is far more Celtic fans in Manchester Airport going to Valencia than Man City fans going over for the Schalke game.

Last season Celtic took 10,000 fans to the Champions League tie away to Bayern Munich but on that occasion tickets were fairly easy to obtain through the Bayern website.
Celtic’s Supporters Liaison Officer and the club’s security staff have been in regular contact with Valencia about the match which has a 6.55 kick off time locally.
Most fans are expected to find places to watch the game around the city centre with a very clear message going out that security around the ground will be water-tight.
