Sala had joined Cardiff during the January transfer window and opted to return to France to say good-bye to his team-mates at Nantes and pick up some personal items.
Tragedy struck on the return flight with some of the biggest names in the game contributing to the search which eventually discovered the plane and the body of the striker.
English football paid their respects to Sala at the weekend with UEFA following on this week although the planned silence before the Manchester United v Paris Saint Germain match turned into a minute of applause.
