Odsonne Edouard scored a priceless late winner as Celtic beat Hearts 2-1 at Tynecastle to maintain their eight point advantage at the top of the SPFL.
A 56th minute penalty from Oliver Bozanic cancelled out James Forrest’s first half opener with Hearts digging in with 10 men for a point.
Caretaker boss Neil Lennon sent on Edouard and Timo Weah in a bid to claim all three points but with Hearts defending deep chances were at a premium.
With four minutes of stoppage time being played Scott Brown sent a brilliant ball into the penalty box with Edouard guiding the ball into the net from 8 yards out.
It was the second away game running that Celtic had clinched full points at the death- following on from Scott Brown’s late winner at Kilmarnock.
With Steven Gerrard’s side 3-0 up on Dundee within half an hour there was no margin for error with the Ibrox side going on to win 4-0.
In stoppage time at Tynecastle however Celtic sent out a message loud and clear that despite a change in manager they are as determined as ever to retain the title for the eighth season running.
