Former Celtic striker issues unique scoring reminder

Gary Hooper has posted a reminder to clubs of his incredible goal scoring record.

The 31-year-old is out of contract at the end of this season and has yet to make an appearance for Sheffield Wednesday.

Hooper was one of the key figures of Neil Lennon’s time at Celtic proving to be an inspirational signing from Scunthorpe having worked his way up from the bottom of the English pyramid.

That roll of honour has featured in many quiz questions, almost as regularly as Celtic fans speculating over a return to Glasgow for the striker.

Last month Hooper was linked with moves to China and the United States but has opted to see out his contract at Hillsborough where Steve Bruce has just taken over as manager.

After scoring 82 goals in 138 Celtic appearances Hooper opted to move to Norwich City where he found himself involved in an unsuccessful battle against relegation.
