Tomorrow’s Scottish Cup quarter-final draw will be one of the strongest ever with five of the top six going into the drum.

St Johnstone are the highest placed casualty although one more club will make way when Kilmarnock visit Ibrox next Wednesday in the only replay.

Aberdeen booked their place today with a 4-1 win over Queen of the South with Hearts joining city rivals Hibs in the draw after beating Auchinleck Talbot 4-0 today.

Yesterday Hibs, Partick Thistle and Dundee United emerged victorious from their ties with the final match taking place tomorrow when Ross County host Inverness Caley Thistle.

Rab Douglas and Billy Dodds will make the draw just after 9pm tomorrow with the matches scheduled over the weekend of March 2 and 3.

Celtic’s win over St Johnstone today made in 24 successive victories in domestic cup ties for Brendan Rodgers’ side, a new Scottish record.
