Steven Craigan has claimed that a lot of Celtic fans want Brendan Rodgers to leave!
News of Claude Puel’s sacking this morning was perfectly timed as BT Sport switched on their Scottish Football Extra programme from Hamilton.
Chris Sutton expects Rodgers to leave Celtic in the summer but was unsure whether Leicester would be his destination although the job would hold appeal.
“We’ll find out now if this really is Brendan Rodgers’ dream job. ????

The former hoops striker then discussed boardroom conflict with Peter Lawwell before Craigan took things a few steps further.
“Isn’t it funny they are going for a treble Treble, it’s never been done before and everyone wants rid of him,” the Daily Record reported Craigan saying. “I think there would be a lot of Celtic fans who would be quite happy if he left.”
Picking up on that Sutton asked his co-pundit: “Hang on a minute! There’s a lot of Celtic fans who would be happy if Brendan Rodgers left? Nobody wants rid of him.”
Craigan made it even more incredible when he added:
I think some Celtic fans would think, ok, it’s something new and we move on
Who knows what Celtic fans Craigan associates with but in any cross section of the support I think you’d find 80% plus delighted with the job Rodgers is doing with 20% expressing a few concerns, I doubt if any genuine Celtic supporter wants to see the Irishman leave.
Since taking charge in May 2016 the Irishman has taken the club to seven domestic trophies, twice reached the group phase of the Champions League and twice reached the last 32 of the Europa League.
Aster signing an initial 12 month rolling contract he signed a four year contract in May 2017, Celtic are currently eight points clear at the top of the SPFL and three matches away from retaining the Scottish Cup to ensure a third successive treble.
