New bhoy celebrates his debut on social media

Almost under the radar Vakoun Issouf Bayo made his Celtic debut at Kilmarnock.

Introduced in the 83rd minute to replace Ryan Christie the young Ivorian got a crash course on what it means to play for Celtic.

From a distance opening up an eight point gap at the top of the SPFL table might seem quite routine, especially for a side that has been champions for seven years running.

Bayo still has a way to go towards achieving match fitness but a taste of the big time at Kilmarnock won’t have done him any harm.

The £2m striker wasn’t listed in Celtic’s Europa League squad but is likely to travel to Valencia to take part in the build up to Thursday’s match.

Kieran Tierney is expected to return to action on Sunday against Motherwell, he could well be joined by Bayo as Brendan Rodgers’ squad starts to get towards full strength for a critical part of the season.
