Must be a big game, UEFA President Aleksander ?eferin is heading to Glasgow for the Celtic v Valencia match, with UEFA Director of Competitions Giorgio Marchetti. Maybe just to see the game? Maybe for talks about the future of Uefa club competitions? ???????

Celtic and other clubs outwith the big five have been lobbying for a more level playing field in European competitions while the stronger nations have been tightening their grip on the Champions League and ensuring a greater share of the revenues.
Changes made this season required Celtic to go through four qualifying rounds to reach the group stage while the fourth placed teams in England, Spain, Italy and Germany were given an automatic group stage place.
Talk of a breakaway competition involving the top clubs or a FIFA run club competition has been a threat to UEFA who have developed the Champions League into the richest annual event in the game.
With a full house and the disco lights on the top men at UEFA will enjoy Celtic Park at it’s very best but unless radical changes are made appearances in the Champions League could become rarer.
Tonight’s match is Celtic’s 15th European game of the season.
