Celtic completed the signings of Andrew Gutman and Manny Perez but both players have instantly been sent on loan to America. It is unclear whether they have been issued with work permits.
Both players, Perez a right-back and Gutman a left-back spent time on trial at Celtic after emerging from the US college soccer set up.
Let’s go! Excited to be apart of this club for the immediate future!???????????????? https://t.co/Ednn8yn9fn

Perez will continue his development with North Carolina FC, playing in the USL Championship which is the second tier of the American pyramid with Gutman at Nashville SC. Both clubs play in the Eastern Conference of the USL Championship with the season running from March till October.
With the SPFL Reserve League only able to offer 17 matches per season, with nine left in the current campaign it is clearly more beneficial for both players to remain in the United States.
Celtic also signed Maryan Shved yesterday with the Ukranian winger rejoining Karpaty Lviv whose domestic season resumes on February 24.
