Celtic fans slammed after the referee frustrated their side in the 0-0 draw at home with Aberdeen.

The hoops were off the pace in Neil Lennon’s first home in charge but a series of predictable decisions by Thomson made life easier for the visitors.

Fifty-fifty challenges invariably went in Aberdeen’s favour with the booking for Dedryck Boyata just before half-time typical of the decisions made by the referee.

Aberdeen wasted time throughout the second half, milking every throw-in, free-kick and bye-kick to the max as they ran the clock down to take a point.

There were no stand out decisions made by Thomson but every tussle for the ball seemed to result in a free kick for the visitors or Celtic getting called back whenever it was advantage to play on.

The draw restored Celtic’s eight point lead at the top of the table but it could have been two more with just nine matches left to play.
