Alex McLeish has named four Celtic players in his Scotland side to face Kazakhstan with Callum McGregor captain for the first time.

The midfielder will be joined by club team-mates Scott Bain, James Forrest and Oli Burke while former Celt Stuart Armstrong is also included in the team. Loan bhoy Lewis Morgan is on the bench alongside former Celt’s Stephen O’Donnell and Stuart Findlay.

McLeish’s squad was beset by call offs led by Bournemouth and Cardiff informing the SFA that Ryan Fraser and Callum Paterson wouldn’t be available to play on plastic.

Next up was a trio of Championship call-off’s with Barry Bannon, Charlie Mulgrew and Jordan Archer calling off, Sheffield Wednesday had already made Steven Fletcher unavailable despite being a first team regular.

The match kicks off at 3pm Celtic Park Time with Scotland moving on to play San Marino on Sunday.
