Alex McLeish has axed James Forrest and Oli Burke from the Scotland side to face San Marino today!
The Scotland boss has made a total of six changes to the side that lost 3-0 to Kazkhstan on Thursday with the Celtic duo dumped to the bench. Next Sunday they have a far more important match than a run out against an Italian village with a population of 33,000 which is officially the worst in European gfootball.
Scott Bain and Callum McGregor retain their places as does the central defensive pairing of Scott McKenna and David Bates. Stuart Armstrong is the other survivor from the humiliating defeat to the 117th best nation in the world.
McLeish has come under a barrage of criticism for the defeat ri Kazakhstan making wholesale changes against a side that lost 5-0 to Cyprus as Scotland were being humiliated.
Kazakhstan returned to form today with a 4-0 home defeat from Russia.
