Speculation is rife that Alex McLeish is about to step down/ be sacked by the SFA exactly a week after the 3-0 defeat from Kazakhstan.
Moyes was linked with the Scotland job after Gordon Strachan was sacked but was appointed manager of West Ham before the SFA got round to looking for a replacement.
The former Everton and Manchester United boss is priced at 3/1 with Bet Victor to become the next Scotland boss with Paddy Power offering odds of 5/1.
Steve Clarke seems a more realistic candidate for the job with both firms offering the Kilmarnock boss at 6/1.
During the course of writing this article the odds on Gordon Strachan have been cut to 3/1 from 8/1 by Paddy Power, the firm that he produces some hard hitting opinion pieces for.
Derek McInnes of Aberdeen is being priced at 9/1 with Michael O’Neill, who knocked back the job after Strachan was axed, priced at 14/1.
