Vakoun Issouf Bayo scored his first goal for Celtic today as Tommy McIntyre’s side hammered Dundee 6-0 in the Reserve League at Forfar.

The Ivorian played the full 90 minutes and will now be pushing to add to the five minutes of first team action he sampled in the 1-0 win away to Kilmarnock at Rugby Park.

Bayo was the provider of the opening goal after 18 minutes when he laid the ball off to Jack Aitchison who made no mistake with his shot. Soon afterwards Kerr McInroy curled in a shot from the edge of the penalty box to double Celtic’s lead.

Seven minutes from the interval Bayo was on the scoresheet with a low shot following great build up play by Wallace Duffy with Armstrong Oko-Flex putting the hoops 4-0 in front shortly before half time to round off a great passing move.

Eight minutes after the restart Tom Caffrey hit Celtic’s fifth of the day from an Oko-Flex pass. Bayo hit the post from a free kick in the 70th minute before Scott Allan turned provider for Aitchison to complete the scoring.

On Friday night Celtic’s u-20 side are scheduled to play Partick Thistle in the semi-final of the Glasgow Cup with the reserves back on duty on Monday against Hearts at Cappielow, kick off 2pm.
