Steven Gerrard hasn’t let up on his criticism of his Ibrox flops.
After watching the 2-0 Scottish Cup defeat from Aberdeen on Tuesday night the rookie boss felt more comfortable talking to the TV cameras of the clubs in-house service that confronting his players in the dressing room.
More than 48 hours later it seems that little has changed as he faced the media this morning ahead of the SPFL clash with Kilmarnock.
?????SG: I’ve not said much, sometimes you don’t have to say much, the players know how the supporters and staff are feeling. It’s about what you do on the pitch.

?????SG: If they have anything about them and they understand the club it should be straightforward as what they need to give going forward.

?????SG: Tactics and information have to come second sometimes, I am expecting a performance for the supporters as Tuesday was a tough one to take.

?????SG: It’s been tough since Aberdeen, not only have we gone out of a cup competition but there were not any positives.
I’ve picked myself back up and I can guarantee you that I will improve personally moving forward.— Rangers Football Club (@RangersFC) March 15, 2019
?????SG: There will be changes to the eleven come the weekend. The worst thing as a footballer is to lose a game and to feel like you haven’t done yourself or your supporter’s justice. It is interesting for me at the weekend to see what characters I have.

The defeat to Aberdeen meant a cup double for Derek McInnes who rejected the chance to take charge at Ibrox before Dave King turned to Gerrard.
An unexpected place in the group phase of the Europa League is the only credit item for the former Liverpool boss with last season’s domestic record little different to this season.
With a fresh loan taken out with Close Brothers and some hefty legal bills expected from the on-going battles with Sports Direct it’s unlikely that there will be much in the way of a transfer war-chest in the summer.
