Celtic can stretch their lead at the top of the SPFL table to 10 points by beating Aberdeen tomorrow.

Neil Lennon’s side were handed a pre-match boost when the club from Ibrox drew 1-1 away to Hibs.

The visitors really should have had the game done and dusted long before half-time but only had a 41st minute goal from Daniel Candeias to show for their superiority.

After the break the pattern barely changed with the Ibrox side missing a host of chances with star striker Alfredo Morelos, who signed a bumper new contract earlier in the day, missing a number of straightforward chances.

Hibs did show some attacking intent and equalised in the 76th minute when Florian Kamberi slid the ball into the net after Marc McNulty had opened up the Ibrox defence.

The remainder of the match saw a number of flashpoints, Darren McGregor of Hibs was sent off but after six minutes of additional time the final whistle went with the scores level.

Morelos was involved with some Hibs players after the final whistle but the net result is that a win for Celtic tomorrow against Aberdeen will put the hoops 10 points clear with nine matches left to play.
