SFA Disciplinary procedures will be in the spotlight again this week with Alfredo Morelos again escaping punishment from a match referee.

No action was taken against the Colombian for three attacks on Celtic players during the December Derby with Morelos repeating similar actions during the 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock on Sunday.

After blowing for half-time referee Greg Aitken reached for the match-ball just as Morelos landed a punch on Kirk Broadfoot’s chin.

As the players squared up to each other they were separated and escorted off the pitch by team-mates with no action taken by Aitken or any of his assistants.

Now the SFA will have to review or dismiss the incident with the next domestic fixture for Morelos being the Glasgow derby against Celtic on March 31.

Whatever their decision there is bound to be criticism, perhaps of earlier incidents involving the striker had been dealt with he’d be less inclined to inflict violence on opponents.
