Celtic fans weren’t slow to celebrate Leicester’s defeat at Watford as Brendan Rodgers returned to the league that he holds so dearly.
After almost three years hanging on the words of their former boss hoops fans can see straight through Rodgers-talk as he pledges his life to Leicester and the incredible fans that fill the 32,312 capacity King Power Stadium.
On Wednesday night Celtic began the post-Rodgers era with a dramatic 2-1 win away to Hearts thanks to a stoppage time winner from Odsonne Edouard at Tynecastle.
Yesterday Rodgers experienced the opposite effect as Watford scored in added time to make it a miserable return to English football for the man that ditched them in 2009 to become manager of Reading.
Since Rodgers decided to walk out on Celtic the perception of him as a person has been transformed with fans now critical of his comments over his dream job and the sugar coated comments that he delivered on a regular basis.
After his first media conference at Leicester Rodgers talked about coming back to manage Celtic in 10 years time, even if he was to add another zero onto that figure it might be too soon to pledge his next life to the club he has always supported.

Wish I managed a side who could grind out a 2-1 result away from home with a 92nd minute winner. ????
