Celtic Park will host the final of the Glasgow Cup on Tuesday April 30.

After a few seasons as an u-17 competition this season’s event has been contested at u-20 level with Celtic facing Graeme Murty’s Murray Park starlets in the final.

Celtic comfortably beat Queens Park and Partick Thistle to reach the final with the Ibrox club doing likewise to contest the final for the seventh year running.

There should be some added spice to the match with both clubs going head to head in the Reserve League, level on points but Celtic two goals worse off with two matches left to play.

On Monday Celtic face Motherwell at Stirling Albion’s Forthbank Stadium while Hamilton Accies travel to Murray Park.

The dates for the final fixtures have still to be announced with Celtic at home to St Johnstone and Falkirk facing the Ibrox reserves.

Tickets for the Glasgow Cup Final will be distributed to local schools and youth clubs with the match kicking off at 7pm.
