The Largs Brigade have captured an impressive archive of Celtic action over recent times- today they got it perfect.

From the corner of the Jock Stein Stand and the South Stand they had a perfect view of Callum McGregor’s cross deep into the penalty box. Without a goal all season Jozo Simunovic stretched his neck back to nod the ball down powerfully and over the line.

It was Celtic’s first SPFL goal of April and was greeted with a mix of delight, relief and emotion as supporters realised that on the day the club remembered Billy McNeill their number 5 had netted with 67 minutes on the clock.

Celtic had struggled throughout the first half with Kilmarnock enjoying the best chances as they found Scott Bain in top form.

Today’s win takes Celtic 12 points clear at the top of the SPFL table, one more point from their three remaining fixtures or a point dropped by Steven Gerrard’s side will confirm the hoops as the champions for the eighth season running.
