With Celtic within tangible reach of winning the treble hoops supporters have been lapping up the unprecedented position that the club is in.

In the sixties and seventies fans enjoyed Nine-in-a-row and Lisbon while a more recent generation were thrilled by Henrik Larsson and Martin O’Neill.

Trebles however were fairly rare with just 1967, 1969 and 2001 being celebrated with three trophies sitting inside the boardroom at Celtic Park.

Just over three years ago supporters were stunned and shocked as title number five was accompanied by defeats in the semi-final of each cup competition.

Ronny Deila suffered the fall out from those results but few fans could have anticipated the golden period that was around the corner.

An invincible season set a new benchmark that is unlikely to be matched but on the back of it came a double treble with four points from five matches and a cup final against Hearts standing between a Treble Treble.

As the pivotal matches of the last month has demonstrated, despite changes in management and players this Celtic side is developing an aura that is pushing opponents over the edge.

By the end of May Celtic could well have captured nine successive domestic trophies, in 12 months time the club could be celebrating as ninth successive title win- for the second time.
