Dean Windass made a complete fool of himself as he joined in the Scott Brown bashing.

Scoring the winning goal for Hull City in a play-off final was the highlight of the chunky striker’s own playing career.

During a brief spell with Aberdeen he did achieve notoriety as he lost the plot in a match with Dundee United at Tannadice as The Independent reported.

The Aberdeen striker Dean Windass will be out of action until Christmas after receiving a massive 22 penalty points at Dundee United on Sunday.

Referee Stuart Dougal’s match report reveals Windass was effectively sent off three times in the opening half of the Dons’ 5-0 Scottish League Premier Division defeat.

The Scottish Football Association has ruled that Windass must serve a six-match ban, which expires on 27 December, to add to a club fine of two weeks’ wages. Windass was initially dismissed for two bookable offences, but his initial dissent at Dougal earned a further red-card equivalent.

To compound matters Windass ripped up the corner flag and threw it on to the ground on his way to the tunnel, securing another eight points.

To be fair to Windass he does have an insight into Scottish football through his son Josh who spent two seasons at Ibrox- a period that saw Celtic win all six domestic trophies on offer.

During that period Celtic won nine and drew two Glasgow derbies with striker Josh scoring one goal against the Double Treble winners.

Picking up on the attention that Brown has been generating Dean took to twitter last night in the style that he is famed for.
