One enterprising Ibrox fan has come up with a £25m plan to stop 10-in-a-row.

With Celtic just weeks away from clinching their eighth successive title the darkest day since Valentines 2012 is drawing closer for the gullible.

Dave King was swept to power four years ago but the promises of off the radar war-chests have failed to materialise with the three bears saddled with IOU notes, Close Brothers having security over the assets and Mike Ashley looking for compensation close to £10m for the broken retail deal.

Unless a club in China shows interest in Alfredo Morelos, Steven Gerrard will be severely restricted in the transfer market following last summer’s spending spree before agreeing to pay £100,000/.week in January for Jermain Defoe and Steve Davis.

While Celtic have been aggressively promoting their season ticket renewal campaign for a fortnight word has still to emerge from Ibrox over next season’s prices.

A win over Celtic or Scottish Cup semi-final place would have been ideal to launch the season ticket renewal campaign around but with another bare season in the blue room it looks like some creative thinking will be required to fund next season’s title challenge.
