Neil Lennon has questioned the attitude of some of his Celtic players.

With five points needed to clinch the SPFL title going into the match at Hibs the visitors were expected to pick up on the form that demolished Aberdeen 3-0 at Hampden.

Yesterday it was Hibs that opened brightest, testing Scott Bain in the early stages as Celtic tentatively worked their way into the match with their most sustained period of pressure coming during stoppage time.

Hibs keeper Ofir Marciano pulled off some eye-catching saves but at the final whistle there was a feeling of frustration at an opportunity wasted with Lennon taking his frustrations a step further.

Playing the diplomatic role of caretaker over players used to doing things in a certain way hasn’t been easy for the former Hibs and Bolton boss who made some of his feelings known after the final whistle.

If you are going for the title – the holidays aren’t here yet,” the Daily Record reported. “Forget about the noise out there. ‘You can win it here, you can win it there’, you have to win the game and that’s what’s angering me because we are up and down at the minute.

“The attitude of some of the players is not making me happy but I have told them what I expect from here on in. We looked lackadaisical, lacked physicality at times, energy and quality.

Celtic’s next match is at home to Kilmarnock on Saturday with the Ayrshire side likely to be at war with the SFA this week over disciplinary issues.
