Neil Lennon has prepared all week to face Kilmarnock with Scott Brown in his side.

Tomorrow the Celtic captain will go before the SFA on a misconduct charge that could carry a two match suspension ruling him out of Saturday’s match and next week’s trip to Pittodrie.

The exact nature of Brown’s ‘offence’ seems to be something of a mystery with the hoops skipper attacked by various players during and after last month’s Glasgow derby.

Steven Gerrard and three of his players have served suspensions following that match with Lennon praising the discipline of his players throughout the match.

Asked today about tomorrow’s charge he said:

I would be surprised if he got a ban let me put it that way, I wouldn’t say we’re confident but we’re hopeful that he will be available for Saturday.

During the derby match Brown was elbowed by Alfredo Morelos who was sent off, punched by Ryan Kent who had an appeal against a two match retrospective ban rejected then attacked by Andy Halliday after the final whistle with the utility man given a yellow card for his actions.
