Like most Celtic fans Chris Sutton was underwhelmed by today’s 1-0 win over Kilmarnock.

It was a nervy and laboured performance from the home side with Scott Bain the star man with a number of vital saves and blocks.

On the day that Billy McNeill was remembered and celebrated Jozo Simunovic, wearing the number 5 jersey, headed home the only goal of the game in the 67th minute.

The win puts Celtic 12 points ahead of Steven Gerrard’s side who have four matches left to play starting tomorrow at home to Aberdeen. If the Dons add to their three wins earlier this season in Glasgow it will have Celtic their eighth successive title.

Kilmarnock had the better of the first half against a nervy Celtic side with Chris Burke missing a simple chance when sent through one on one with Bain.

Exactly halfway through the second half Celtic made the breakthrough with Simunovic heading home a deep cross from Callum McGregor as almost everyone watching highlighted the significance of the number 5 scoring in the 67th minute
