Dermot Gallagher gave Bobby Madden his seal of approval for his handling of the Glasgow derby.

Losing to Celtic to fall 13 points behind the champions effectively ended the season for the Ibrox club which proved to be too much for some of their players.

Back in December all was happy and glorious as they celebrated their first derby success in 13 attempts but losing yesterday’s match triggered a breakdown in discipline.

First to let go was Alfredo Morelos who attempted to elbow Scott Brown but the attack was picked up by the assistant referee.

After equalising for the visitors the sight of James Forrest restoring Celtic’s advantage proved too much for Ryan Jack as he lashed out at Scott Brown, sending the hoops captain to the deck.

At the final whistle Andy Halliday picked up a second yellow card for his part in the full time confrontation, further action is expected from the SFA Compliance Officer.
