Celtic fans have laughed off Steven Gerrad’s bizarre claim that his team proved that they are better than the best team in the league!
That statement makes no sense of course but since he started to discuss the detail of what a lion’s den really means Gerrard seems to have lost his bearings.
A 20 minute spell in Sunday’s match is suddenly growing arms and legs as the rookie Ibrox boss tries to take something from a season of sustained failure.
“We proved we are better than the best team in the league.”
That doesn’t even make sense… ???? pic.twitter.com/peQKg4GBbc

I mean it’s clear Gerrard isn’t the sharpest tool in the box, he obviously lacks even the basic education. But his nonsensical narratives suggest he really has lost the plot. More worrying is him issuing threats that’s something for the Police!!!!

Your mob conceded 2 goals – both at even strength. Your mob managed 1 shot on target. Your mob showed shocking ill-discipline which I assume is due in part to appalling coaching.
Better than Celtic. A class above Aberdeen. 2 wins in 9 v those 2. Must be poor coaching.#Rangers pic.twitter.com/vcKvCFf08n

???????????????? No, you prove you’re better than the best team in the league, by becoming the best team in the league. i.e. winning it. Not sure if I prefer this Gerradism, or the one about the lion’s den? Let’s call it a draw ????????

How do you work that out Slippy please stop talking you are only confirming how stupid you really are….

For the first time in their top flight existence the club from Ibrox have lost twice at Celtic Park, even under the much maligned Graeme Murty there were two draws to celebrate.
Only reaching the group phase of the Europa League has provided some credibility to Gerrard’s first season in management, one that has seen his side crash out of two cup competitions to Aberdeen with Celtic looking likely to clinch the title before the split.
With no sign of any worthwhile young players coming through the Liverpool legend will require more than spin to put a worthwhile challenge next season with even the gullible starting to compare his record to Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha who both failed to complete a full season in the top flight.
