Graham Spiers has admitted some regret over his Sunday night outburst about Scott Brown but decided to brand the Celtic skipper an embarrassment rather than an ‘all round t**’.

Strangely those two descriptions are being used by Celtic fans on twitter to describe most of the media coverage since last Sunday’s derby day victory.

It seems like many that the December derby victory at Ibrox stirred up some long dormant passions with their poster boy manager set to lead the club to a title. The dread of ten could be stopped with expectations through the roof with the January arrivals of Jermain Defoe and Steve Davis.

Despite slipping behind in the SPFL the departure of Brendan Rodgers offered fresh hope across the city but led by Broony Celtic entered April with a 13 point lead .

Dejection at Celtic’s 2-1 victorytook many forms from confrontations on the pitch, assaults in town and cities across Scotland and angry expressions on social media.

A week later that anger and frustration appears only to have been heightened as an eight-in-a-row title party beckons with a potential Treble Treble terrifyingly on the horizon.
