Celtic have a mountain to climb if they are to win the Reserve League after Graeme Murty guided his side to a 4-1 win over Hamilton today.

With one match left to play the two clubs are level on points but the Ibrox side are three better off in terms of goal difference. Whatever scoreline the Ibrox club manage in their final fixture against Falkirk Celtic will need to better it by four goals against St Johnstone to win the league. Currently on goals scored it is 46 v 43 against the hoops, if both teams lose their final match Hibs will be champions

Celtic play their final match next Friday (May 3) against St Johnstone with the Ibrox kids taking on Falkirk on the same date. No venue has been announced for the match against St Johnstone but with Morton at home the following day against Dundee United it is unlikely to be staged at Cappielow.

Last week’s Glasgow derby looks like being the pivotal match in the campaign with Celtic losing 2-0 at Firhill.

Yesterday Celtic beat Motherwell 3-1 at Forthbank Stadium with goals from Armstrong Oko-Flex, PJ Crossan and Mikey Johnston but it will take a real goal rush to clinch the title.

On Thursday the two Glasgow sides meet at u-18 level at Hampden in the final of the SFA Youth Cup, next Thursday, April 30, the same clubs will compete in the final of the Glasgow Cup which is for u-20 teams this season.
