Craig Thomson will referee Sunday’s presentation day match against Hearts, as he did last year against Aberdeen.
The experienced whistler appears to be getting eased out of the picture- except for matches involving Celtic.
Of his last six appointments involving top flight clubs FOUR have involved Celtic- the 2-0 win over Hibs on February 6, the 0-0 draw at home to Aberdeen on March 9 and the 3-0 Scottish Cup semi-final win over Derek McInnes’ side on April 14.
Since that fiery Hampden clash Thomson has been given just one match at any level, the April 28 Edinburgh derby that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Kylie Cockburn will be one of the assistant referees with Alan Newlands the fourth official.
Scottish Cup Final referee Willie Collum will be in charge at Rugby Park on Sunday, his first match in six months involving Steve Gerrard’s club who claimed that the referee had an underlying issue.
