The ticker tape had barely blown away when something significant changed at Celtic Park.

Down came the goalposts and in it’s place went rugby posts as Glasgow’s biggest stadium prepares to host the final of the Guinness Pro 14.

Leinster will take on local side Glasgow Warriors at 6pm on Saturday with the holy ground being transformed to accommodate the funny shaped ball as Celtic fans focus across the city at Hampden for the Scottish Cup Final.

Jim Craig was at Celtic Park yesterday to promote the rugby with his own son a former Scotland rugby internationalist.

With the Guinness Pro 14 Final kicking off at 6pm on Saturday traffic in Glasgow is expected to be chaotic with Hampden a notorious bottleneck.

Last year the victorious Celtic team enjoyed an open top bus journey back to Celtic Park after beating Motherwell in the Scottish Cup Final but alternative plans have been put in place due to the stadium being used for rugby.
