Neil Lennon has been pictured in Marbella with Kris Commons.

The former Nottingham Forrest midfielder was one of his key signings during his first stint at Celtic which led the club to three consecutive titles.

Commons is now heavily involved in media work with Sky Sports and the Daily Mail but Lennon has previously talked about him taking up a coaching role.

After Lennon’s departure in 2014 Commons appeared to be falling out of favour with Ronny Deila but signed a new two year contract soon after scoring in the semi-final of the League Cup against the club from Ibrox who were managed by Kenny McDowall.

Commons never managed an appearance under Brendan Rodgers but was reunited briefly with Lennon during a short and successful loan spell at Hibs during their promotion winning season from The Championship.

Lennon is expected to bring Garry Parker in to his backroom team with the formalities on his Celtic deal expected to be completed this week.
