Dedryck Boyata’s last contribution to Celtic’s latest title success was at the end of March during the Glasgow derby.
A hamstring tear brought his involvement to an end, it’s doubtful if he will be seen again in a Celtic shirt with his involvement one of the strangest chapters of the season.

When the season kicked off in Alashkert Boyata was on World Cup duty in Russia but was soon to play a major role in a campaign that almost unraveled.
Amid offers from Fulham for the defender he called in sick as his agent made a Friday morning appearance at Lennoxtown demanding transfer talks as Brendan Rodgers included the Belgian in his plans for the Champions League return leg with AEK Athens.
It all fell apart quickly, there was no transfer, no Champions League football but rather than sit out the season Boyata made an unlikely return to the side, scoring the only goal of the game in a laboured win over Hamilton Accies.
Since then it has been a roller-coaster, a partnership with Filip Benkovic provided stability and hope but as the title was one yesterday both men were on the sidelines- just like the manager that brought them together.
