Leigh Griffiths has made a poignant post on Instagram after picking up his SPFL winners medal.
The striker hasn’t played since the start of December when he took a break to deal with personal issues.
That decision has created a flood of poison on social media as speculation over his issues becomes obsessive.
Towards the end of March Neil Lennon brought Griffiths back to Lennoxtown but so far he hasn’t been pictured training with any of his Celtic team-mates.
Yesterday he watched from the stand as Celtic beat Hearts before joining the first team squad collecting their medals from the podium.
Griffiths won’t be involved in Saturday’s Scottish Cup Final against Hearts but will be looking to play his way back into the side next season with Celtic’s first match falling on June 26 in Austria.
Despite the suggestion from Lennon Griffiths isn’t likely to be in the Scotland squad for the June internationals against Cyprus and Belgium.
