Porto are preparing a fresh bid for Olivier Ntcham.
Last summer Celtic rejected a £15m bid for the midfielder which would have tripled the fee that they paid Manchester City for the midfielder 12 months earlier.
Ntcham has been a shadow of himself this season, suffering two hamstring injuries and a loss of form that has left him on the bench over the last couple of weeks.
Despite a poor season The Sun reports:
Porto boss Sergio Conceicao is a long-term admirer of the Frenchman.
Conceicao has been tracking the 23-year-old for the past 12 months and has twice been thwarted in his efforts to prise him away from Parkhead.
Porto are resigned to losing skipper Hector Herrera on a free at the end of the season, with Atletico Madrid set to sign him and they have earmarked Ntcham to replace Herrera.
Based on his form this season a repeat offer of £15m is bound to be tempting for Celtic despite Ntcham signing a new deal tying him to the hoops until 2022 in November.
Completing a transfer is unlikely until Celtic announce their new manager who may or may not want to include the midfielder in their plans.
The 23-year-old hasn’t been involved in the full French international side and is likely to view a move to Porto as one that will enhance his hopes of breaking into the French team.
