St Constantine Primary School in Govan has tweeted their pride over the debut of Karamoko Dembele.
While his old class-mates are preparing for exams their famous former pupil was making his Celtic debut in front of 60,000 fans on the day that the hoops collected the SPFL trophy for the eighth season running.
At the age of eight Dembele was brought into the Celtic Academy and very quickly the club realised that they were dealing with a very special talent.
Whether it’s helping in our school garden, playing maths games in class or playing for Celtic then Karamoko Dembele always gives his best! Well done on your debut Karamoko from your old school St Constantine’s in sunny Govan! @kdembele_10 @CelticFC pic.twitter.com/gniAttmFfH

Social media started to pick up on the video clips showing the incredible skills and dribbling ability of the tiny kid up against older and stronger opponents.
At the age of 13 Dembele made a 10 minute appearance for Celtic against Hearts in the Development League and suddenly he became headline news.
Scotland appears to have lost out to England in the race for the international affection of the 16-year-old but despite interest from the biggest clubs in Europe Celtic secured the youngster onto a professional contract shortly before his 16th birthday.
