Chris Sutton has reminded James Tavernier that no trophies were decided today.

No matter how much high-fiving and whooping it up that there is at Ibrox the blue room will once again be missing out on a visit from any of the domestic trophies.

After four years in Scotland Tavernier only has a Petrofac Cup winners medal to show for his efforts as Celtic look to claim their ninth successive trophy later this month against Hearts in the final of the Scottish Cup.

Celtic were miles off it in today’s final derby clash of the season, with Kieran Tierney and James Forrest missing there was a real lack of quality as well as urgency and determination about their performance.

With Ryan Christie and Dedryck Boyata also out injured Neil Lennon was short on options with few players doing themselves justice.

The hoops have two matches remaining, both against Hearts, with a summer of heavy changes expected as Brendan Rodgers’ replacement is appointed.
