Willie Collum will referee his first match involving Steven Gerrard’s side for six months when he takes charge at Kilmarnock on Sunday.

On November 3 the Ibrox club were furious over the red card issued to Danny Candeias during a 2-0 win away to St Mirren.

Afterwards a statement was issued claiming that the referee had underlying issues and although it brought a £6,000 fine for the club Collum missed out on matches involving the Ibrox club through the guts of the season.

During the same period Collum has been in charge of four Celtic matches with another appointment scheduled for the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts on May 25.

Craig Thomson will referee Sunday’s match between Celtic and Hearts.
