Maryan Shved is making an early arrival at Celtic.

The winger was signed during the January transfer window but instantly loaned back to Karpaty Lviv.

Shved was sent off against Arsenal Lviv last weekend with the decision taken to send the 21-year-old to Celtic where he can train with his new team-mates for a fortnight before the close season break.

Shved spent time with Seville as a teenager before returning to Ukraine where he picked up his career to earn a £1.7m move to Celtic.

Karpaty have discussed setting up some sort of formal arrangement with Celtic that would involve an exchange of players and coaches.

Shved will go down as the final player to be signed by Brendan Rodgers but his arrival at Celtic was initially greeted by surprise by the outgoing boss who famously stated that he already had ‘about a million wingers’ when Shved’s name was first put to him.
