Celtic target Amir Rrahmani appears to be closing in on a move to Hellas Verona where he will have Liam Henderson as a team-mate.
Initial reports from Belgium linked Celtic and Standard Liege with the Kosovan international defender which was picked up by The Sun.
The Belgian trail seemed to run out of steam but tonight it has emerged that Rrahmani is on his way to Serie A from Dinamo Zagreb.
Celtic have been linked with a number of central defenders since the season ended but Neil Lennon is still waiting to make his first signing since being confirmed as permanent manager.

Since the turn of the year or earlier it was known that Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic wouldn’t be around for the Champions League qualifiers.
That left Jozo Simunovic, Kris Ajer and Jack Hendry as the only central defenders to have played during the 2018/19 season available for the start of pre-season training.
With Ajer getting an extended break due to his international commitments Celtic are very light on options in that area with their first pre-season match less than a week away.
Celtic were also linked with Christopher Jullien last week by French publisher L’Equipe but there has been no follow up to that initial report.
