Celtic’s twitter account has attempted to claim Andy Robertson as a former player!

The Liverpool defender was part of the Academy set up but released at the age of 15 without playing in any sort of meaningful youth match never mind a first team fixture.

Robertson’s post Celtic story is very well known with Queens Park offering him a playing contract that led him from Scotland’s bottom division in 2013 to Dundee United and Hull City onto Anfield.

Under Jurgen Klopp the former Queens Park man has become a fixture in the Liverpool side with two Champions League Final appearances during his time at Anfield.

Much more relevant and with a very distinctive Celtic stamp is Virgil van Dijk who spent two seasons with the hoops enjoying two title wins as well as experience of the Champions League and Europa League.

Celtic sold the Dutchman to Southampton for £12m in August 2015 before he became the most expensive defender in the game when he moved to Anfield for £75m with Celtic believed to have collected a £6m sell on clause.

Over in Italy Liam Henderson was enjoying success in the Serie A play-off with Verona winning promotion to the top flight on a 3-2 aggregate.
