A document has appeared on social media claiming to be Celtic’s ‘First Team Recruitment Meeting’ from April 2.

A lot of work seems to have gone into the document but among those that apparently attended was DD, it’s difficult to imagine Dermot Desmond sitting around with members of the management and coaching staff to discuss the likely replacement for Mikael Lustig. DD could be Damien Duff but there is a very basic tone to the document that makes it seem like a not so elaborate hoax pulled together from favoured rumours.

Many of the options seem to end up with Peter Lawwell having to discuss the issue with agents.

James Justin of Luton appears to be listed as a target, as does Zanka (Huddersfield) and Tomoroi (Chelsea).

All of the scouting seems to be concentrated on English targets which even at Championship level is an expensive market that Celtic haven’t looked at recently.

During the January transfer window Celtic made permanent signings from the Ukraine (Maryan Shved) and Slovakia (Bayo).

With Neil Lennon confirmed as manager recruitment is expected to be stepped up with the key dates being June 17, the first day of pre-season training, June 26, the first pre-season match, against Pinkfeld of Austria and July 9/10 the first leg of the Champions League first round qualifier.
