A famous Celtic landmark in Glasgow is set to come back to life today after a six year hangover.
Now known as 226, next door to The Barrowlands on the Gallowgate, it will bring back to life the spot where Bairds Bar once stood.
In 2013 following a licensing dispute time up was called on the pub which contained an incredible collection of Celtic memorabilia with the walls crammed with pictures, programmes, pennants and scarves dating through the decades.
Really impressed with the renovation work done in the bar. Great to see so many old features retained – especially the old close stairs behind the bar. Welcome addition to the area and best wishes for every success.

Celtic fans had flocked to Bairds through the good and bad times with the pub put firmly in the spotlight in 2000 when Kenny Dalglish opted to use it for a media conference.
With the hoops going through a difficult spell and being heavily criticised in the post John Barnes era Dalglish opted to take the club to the fans by sitting with Vidar Riseth in the pub to preview the weekend match.
The following week the venue was switched to the Celtic Social Club on London Road which continued to host the weekly media conference until the arrival of Martin O’Neill.
