Lyon are set to join the race for Olivier Ntcham.

There has been strong speculation about the departure of the midfielder since the end of the domestic season with Celtic’s move for David Turnbull suggesting that someone will be moving on.

Ntcham extended his Celtic contract last November but it looks likely that he has played his last match for the club.

The Sun reports:

LYON are poised to join the race to land Celtic midfielder Olivier Ntcham. Marseille and Porto are weighing up bids for the £12million-rated France Under-21 star.

Ntcham is currently with the French u-21 side preparing for the European Championships and wouldn’t be available for Celtic’s opening Champions League qualifiers.

After an imposing start to his Celtic career following a £4.5m transfer from Manchester City in July 2017 his form nose dived last season.

Two hamstring injuries didn’t help his cause but his injury in the Betfred Cup semi-final against Hearts opened the door for Ryan Christie who made a massive impact.

It’s believed that Celtic are hoping to bring in £20m from the sale of the midfielder with the news of interest from Lyon increasing the chances of getting that figure.
