Tom English, the man who is always two steps behind in any Celtic transfer story has suggested a £3m loan deal for Kieran Tierney to join Arsenal.
The rugby loving man from the BBC likes nothing more than to use his twitter account to troll Celtic fans, reveling in any mishaps for the hoops from the comfort of his state funded salary.
English has been treating licence payers to his insight into woman’s football in recent weeks but an early KO for Scotland has ended his stay in France.
Mad notion under the influence of a few pints: if Kieran Tierney wants to join Arsenal – agree a season-long loan deal for £3m during which time he may excel thereby multiplying his value. Cue bidding war among the big hitters

Dramatic end to the David Turnbull saga. Motherwell have done really well, the player has done really well. Celtic? They’ve now bid for and failed to get McGinn, McKenna and Turnbull. Not a good look

Plenty will disagree with me, but Virgil van Dijk is vastly over-rated. A nice footballer, but too often gets found out by decent strikers

The close season is filled for many by wishful thinking about Celtic losing some of their top players, opening the door for a challenge to their domestic domination.
Last summer Everton were being constantly linked with a £25m move for Tierney until it was discovered that they had no intention of making such a move.
With that lesson learned attention has turned to Arsenal who are looking for players in almost every position.
The Gunners won’t be back in training for a couple of weeks, allowing the Tierney speculation to continue without contradiction with BBC licence players getting treated to the insight of man-in-the-know English.
