Celtic are reported to have offered Olivier Ntcham to Bournemouth as part of a deal to sign Lys Mousset.
The Bournemouth striker has got a year left to run on his current contract and is unlikely to renew due to his lack of first team opportunities at the club.
A year ago Ntcham was looked on as one of Celtic’s most important players but he now appears to be getting offered as a sweetener despite signing an improved and extended Celtic contract last year.

As Sportsmail first revealed Bournemouth’s Lys Mousset is the top target to strengthen the striker area. With the English Premier League side rejecting attempts to offer the likes of Olivier Ntcham as makeweights in a deal, however, Celtic will have to shatter their £9m transfer record with a straight cash transaction to fight off rival interest from Ligue 1 in France.
Celtic paid Manchester City £4.5m for Ntcham two years ago after he had impressed on loan with Genoa.
After signing his new deal to stay until 2022 he told the club website: “It’s good news and I hope we’re going to win more trophies. It’s a great side and I’m glad to be part of the project.
“Having a strong bond with the players is very important for the team, and for the club. I feel good here and I hope we’re going to win more trophies and that we can be even more successful this year than last year.”
Mousset has scored three goals in the EPL from eight starts and 50 appearances as a substitute. Bournemouth paid Le Havre £5.4m for the striker in July 2016.
